Thank you for posting these pictures of Snowbasin and Park City Ski Mountain. Snowbasin Little Cat Express termianl looks pretty...white top and green bottom.

The weather is average 50 to 60 here in Salt Lake Valley. I don't use coat during the day and of course, I use it at the night like 35 to 40.

I haven't gone to skiing but I perfer to wait until the new snow increases and better powder. I hate to ski and hit rocks. The rocks stretch my ski. Heh.

New Doppelmayr motor room on top of our old Yan adjustable bottom terminal frame, I took this photo earlier today. We should have the haul rope spliced before Thanksgiving.

EagleAce used to work here, she's on to bigger and better things now days. She would probably be thrilled to see what here namesake has become :) Since the bottom terminal is in the middle of a meadow, if we couldn't adjust up, it would end up in a hole during a big snow year and we don't have any snow making, so on a low snow year we would be in trouble. So, yes, the terminal is still height adjustable. We have a little hydraulic pump unit we throw onto a sled and pull out there with a snow mobile to raise or lower. The lift should be running on APU by the end of the week, just to hang chairs, then the sparkies get to go to work. We just wish we could have gotten a paint job on the reused parts before this season. It's a bit too cold to paint now, unfortunately. Note the control house is on the light side of the lift, this was so the back of it wasn't facing our lodge. I can't say enough about how the construction crew has kicked ass, this hasn't been the easiest job for them and they all want to be done for the year, but they are top notch.

Where's the love for the new open air gondola in the parking lots at Winter Park? I was over there yesterday, and could've taken photos. It seemed mostly ready to go except for the loading area (and maybe unloading).

Anyway, for me this lift seems to go to the wrong place. Talk amongst yourselves~!

And from its location on the trail map, it seems that the only way to access it is from the Mary Jane - Winter Park trail. Dumb.

Nope. You can walk to it. from the WP base. Or @ least the guys at the Ski show said that........

this picture kinda shows the relation of the WP base transport terminal. It is on the clear other side of the new parking structure. So to get from the new transfer lift you have to walk through the parking garage, down a road and inbetween the condo/hotels. I'll keep parking at MJ...

Did they ever start charging for parking at MJ? I haven't been there for a few years but I remember that MJ was always free but it was 10 bucks to park on the WP side. From Summit/Super Gauge Express you can get to WP in one run so I never understood why people parked on the WP side?

MJ has primarily advanced intermediate and expert terrain and the parking is very convenient (free, lift-side) which is perfect for probably most of us on this forum. There are likely many less- experienced and beginner skiers & riders parking at Winter Park. They probably want people to walk through the village so you will be tempted to buy something in one of the shops. Last time I skied Beaver Creek, the shuttle dropped people off so everyone must walk through the village (a similar marketing ploy which can be very annoying). The most convenient terminal location at the Winter Park base would have been somewhere between Arrow and Gemini lifts.
Look on the bright side, at least they are not pushing timeshares when you get off the Cabriolet like they do at The Canyons.

There was a time when the timeshare people would be handing out Krispy Kremes on the way from the Cabriolet to the gondola at The Canyons. That time has passed. The novelty of the cabriolet wore off, and now it's just a long walk across the pavement to the back of another line. At PCMR, you can park right next to the snow at the First Time lot, which never gets old

floridaskier, you are right...I do park right next to First time Lift, I take Eagle Lift to go over the mountain. Now there is a new lift...Cresent Lift. I am curious and I will go skiing in January. I will take pictures of Cresent Lift.

At Brighton, there is little hill to go hiking up to Majestic or Crest Lift from parking lot. I use elevator up to three floors and ski down to Majestic or Crest Lift or Greatern Lift. It is easy way LOL.

At Solitude, I always park Moonbean area to close to the lift or ski down to Eagle Lift. easy way.

DV is crazy for me to walk way (from parking lot to underground to the lodge, climb up the stair to the lifts). They do serve tramway (road...the truck pulls trailers...people sit and travel to the parking lot or to underground to entrance). LOL.
