Keystone's logo on the cabin is very cool. I like the vertical positioning.

New Silver Fir at Snoqualmie:

Is silver fir going to be open this year? it doesn't seem like they're far enough along to open this winter. :pinch:

Yes, it will be open and it always seems like it won't but they manage to get it done every time. People were saying the same thing about Northway last year.

Wow. Those pics of the P2P are amazing! Do you know if there are any high-resolution pics of that lift? I want one as my desktop background. :)

I'm not exactly afraid of heights but these go to the extreme. I've had to inspect portable asphalt and concrete plants while their running, and when on top of the silos its really wobbly (no foundations makes for a fun ride) which I can handle just fine, however, I couldn't stand on some makeshift platform on top of a gondola like that.

I agree with the above posts. Working on lift towers doesn't bother me at all, but that would. It's mind boggling to think that those guys are working in an environment out on the line that's only 45 ft (13.7 meters) lower than the overall height of the Empire State Building to the top of the spire.

Buck Hill is moving right along with the new carpet. They claim on their site that it is "The longest Magic Carpet in the USA." I'm not sure how true that is.
