Town lift at PCMR has 200+ chairs, the map said it takes about 13 minutes, but I think it's more. They seem to run it pretty fast for a fixed grip, so it isn't too bad

Floridaskier, you are right. I rode that Town Lift, and it took so long that I felt like 20 minutes because I noticed to feel vibrate the chair, the lift often switched fast and slow, which the lift was slow when these people who are not skiers or snowboarders to get off or some people stay the chair to around the contour back to go down. Last week of last September, I rode the same lift and most time, the chairs moved fast (look like 14 minutes) whenver there was not many people to ride. I enjoyed to riding and got some sightseeing of beautiful forest, trees, etc. While I rode, and I often wondered will they be replacing from fixed grip lift to high speed lift someday? Who knows?

A High Speed Quad is in the works to replace the town lift. As for summer, many lifts are run even slower because of sightseeing.

The North East Passage Triple at Killington was actually the longest triple in North America (maybe the world?) when it was in its original form.

Also the American Flyer when they slow it for wind. At about 750 fpm in 30 mph winds, 10,000 feet doesn't go by all too quickly.

Northeast Passage was only a 16.8 minute ride with no stops. Compare that to Burfield quad at Sun Peaks, a whopping 21 minute ride. The old Campground lift at Snowmass was 15.8 minutes. Another fairly long one was the old Southern Comfort at Big Sky.

Sunrise Az. Cyclone lift, chair 6, YAN, 8200', 1800' vert rise, 32 towers, 352 chairs and a 23 min ride ENJOY!

That lift is long. The longest lift I have been on is the Yellow Chair at Sugar. 1200' Vertical 1000'+ long-a 20 minute ride.

Chair 10/The Wall at Kirkwood is the longest lift I've ridden.

Mine are not as long in time but here it is.

Heather at Hood Meadows is not so long but is slow.

Silver Fur at Summit Central is a great lift except in the rain.

the worst is C.2 at Hyak, keechules. The wind just blows right through ya the whole ride up!

Sorry, but chair 2 is the lower lift, Easy something. Chair 3 is Keechelus. Chair 1 is Dinosaur. I suppose current management has changed the designations but that's the way those lifts have been numbered for a very long time.

I guess I've been lucky... The longest lift ride I've had is the Paradise lift at Powder Mountain, UT. I think it's around 5,500' with about 1,600' vertical. It's pretty slow but has a nice view. I've heard that the old double lift that the new HSQ "Hidden Lake Express" replaced was REALLY slow with a lift length of 6,000'. I never got to ride it though.

You weren’t missing anything. The Hidden Lake lift must have been half as slow as the Paradise lift, and, as you mentioned before, longer.

Whistler Village Gondola. 25 minutes on a gondola with only 15cm long "seats" (for skinny French people) which are so slippery! Golly geez that sucks. Good thing they're putting new cabins on!

I've ridden various long fixed grip chairlifts (over 1500m) in Italy and Austria recently
Italy:
Marinzen double:
Takes 20 minutes in Summer at 1630m lenght. In Winter it runs at 2,5m/sec, or apprx. 8ft/sec making it a 10-12 minutes ride.

Langkofelschartenlift:
A fix gripped gondola manufactured by Trojer back in early 70s, weighing in at 1522m and 15 minutes. It's a really funny ride, as you have to jump in the gondola and at the valley station back out.

Austria:
Kaiserlift: Fix gripped single chair in two sections, needing about 30 minutes for the whole lenght of 2470m in summer. has 36 supports, since they're counted together for both sections. It doesn't run in winter anymore, but this would have taken about 20 minutes for both sections

Schwarzeckalmbahn double:
At the Hochkoenig resort. It's 1800m in lenght, but riding it in bad weather isn't too fun. If it's snowing at -5°C it's a cold 12 minute ride.

Gabuehel double:
At the Hochkoenig resort, too.Weighing in at 1550m and about 10 minutes ride time. Serves a nice slope, which is especially great after a snowfall, if the surrounding trees are snowy.

Chair 9 at Telluride had to be the longest lift I've even been on. 13 minutes but It feels like forever. Same with the Topridge Triple and North Quad at Gore. All very slow!
