Job Title: Lift Electrical Technician III

Status: FT year round

Start Date: ASAP

Reports To: Lift Maintenance Supervisor/Manager

Scope of Duties:
To monitor and assist in maintaining lift equipment to ensure safe and reliable lift transportation. This is an expert level position in the lift maintenance field.

To develop good work ethics such as safe working practices, high productivity, attention to detail, and quality assurance.

To be familiar and competent with operation and maintenance of all lift electrical systems. May be required to work on village or mountain residential/commercial electrical systems.

To be familiar with basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills and safe working practices.


To become competent at monitoring and maintaining all assigned lift equipment.

To become competent at evaluating and starting stalled lifts and to be familiar with department lift problem, breakdown, and evacuation procedures.

To complete all required department documentation and record keeping, including work orders, inspection forms, and component and by-pass logs, in a timely and accurate manner.

To assist with lift upgrades, modifications, and installations, and become familiar with new maintenance and operational procedures related to these changes and/or additons.

To become competent at maintaining stock of lift parts and supplies.

To become competent at maintaining department tools and equipment.

To be competent with operation and basic maintenance of snowmobiles, ATVs, and trucks for safe, efficient transportation.


To assist in the training and development of lift operations personnel, and monitor their compliance with CMI procedures.

To assist in the training and development of Level II technicians.


To assist in developing and/or reviewing department procedures.


Requirements:

Must have attained high school diploma or equivilant certificate.

Must have minimum of 2-years experience in lift electrical maintenance, OR Associate Degree or better in electrical field, OR 2-years experience in industrial electrical maintenance.

Lift operations experience is desirable.

Possesion or ability to obtain State of Colorado Journeyman Electrician liscense is desireable but not required.

Must have valid drivers license.

Must be competent with electrical tools, test equipment, and safe working practices. Possession of personal hand tools and multimeter is desirable.

Familiarity with use of rigging and safe working practices is desireable.

Must be able to read and interpret electrical schematics. Familiarity with use of manufacturer's maintenance instructions and bulletins and blue prints is desirable.

Familiarity with ski lift electrical systems is desirable. Ability to understand ski lift mechanical systems is desireable.

Familiarity with ANSI, CPTSB, and NEC rules and regulations is desirable.

Familiarity with use of personal fall protective equipment is desirable.

Familiarity with PLC and relay control systems is desireable.

Familiarity with basic mechanical skills is desireable.


Familiarity with PC applications is desireable.
