The results of this summer's painting (so far)! It's good to see - these things haven't been painted since the 80(?)'s.

Just does not seem like a real bright idea to paint a tower white, know what I mean?

If your bird population grows much more, you'll have to go to a 1/2" messanger !!

I said that too - they do have red pads on the bottom in the winter. It was painted like that to match the new lift.

Desperate times call for desperate measures....

The problem: No drive line in a short surface lift which is due for a haul rope resplice next week & the splice is in the only high span on the lift.

The soultion: Have a look at the picture and don't judge to harshly!!! :w00t:

This would be tough to manage.. at least in the States.. you would be getting three all the time coming out for the double chair.

It's nice to see that Red's new owner is putting a lot of capital into the ski area.

In a way it is kind of sad.. I love the look of the old lifts and structures.. but they need to be maintained. When you see an area that has really taken care of their buildings and lifts, it is nice to see.
In a way it's like the old cars.. they don't make them like they used to.. but guests seem to want all the new stuff. More green tin metal terminals and shacks that looks like crap after one season..

Ok, I admit - this is really random... Nothing like A&W getting delivered to you during line work!

Actually, the quad chairs are loaded only at the bottom, and the double chairs are loaded only at the midstation, so it works out.

Ok, so they painted the old lifts to match the new lift.
My question is who in the (he double hockey sticks) would order a new lift white?
After a little wet weather and rolling sheaves the nice white paint will have black streaks.
My second question is who is going to clean the nice white towers when the management decides that they don’t like the black streaks?
