Boyne always reuses their fixed grip lifts somewhere. Remember a couple years ago they saved a 1955 Riblet double and put it in at Big Sky. Also the Heron-Poma triple at Big Sky has been relocated twice. I am sure that a 1988 Riblet triple will be reused. Maybe they will galvanize it before reinstalling it like they have done with other lifts. The big question is whether they'll keep it at Snoqualmie or send it somewhere else. Maybe it will become the Liberty Bowl lift at Big Sky?

From 7-12-2008, the towers ave been in on the River Run Gondola, so a few more pictures:

So I took a ride up Summit Express to get some pictures of the middle and upper stations. So far, not much has happened with the stations, but all of towers are in place.

The line:

There are 32 towers in total, all completely new. The middle station is right after the new tower 10. The line starts across the river with a 4S/4C combination assembly and then starts to go up at tower 4 (right over the site of the old bottom station) with a 10C compression assembly. Tower 9 and 10 are as I said before a good 100 feet tall, and are right before the middle station. The line then basically follows the same profile as the old gondola, except not quite as high off of the ground. The gondola ends at the same spot with two 10S breakover assemblies.

The Middle Station

The middle station is located about a third of the way up the hill, right after the first main ascent. It is located between towers 10 and 11 and is before the gully with the creek crossing.

The top station is located in the same place as the old gondola. The whole structure has been removed, with the exception of the garage entrance, which will be converted to store the new gondola cars.

though I started a thread for the JH tram a couple weeks ago, I think this would be the proper place for our on-going project.
The Peak to Peak shots are great, that project is really coming along. Can't wait to get up there to play sometime!

I have heard from many sources that Silver Fir is going into Hyak somewhere. And there will be spare parts used in the nearby terrain park.
