Mad River Lifts is a Used Car Lot. They do not necessarily have any "rights" to sell the lifts they list. They just happen to know that the lifts "may" be available, and therefore list them. If they get an interested buyer, they go back to the "owner".Do not assume that just because the lift is listed on MRL that is is going to be removed.

Interesting, however they must have some information that a lift such as Headwaters at Moonlight Basin is being removed because it is less than 3 years old. Also, must the ower be the one provding the detailed statistics? Or do they just make them up?

Suggestion: Call the lot up and disguise your voice like you are the owner of a resort in Texas looking for a carnival ride and have unlimited funds.

Kick some tires and check the Kelly Blue Book.

Ask MRL why a lift is advertised on their website and where they got the details.

Mystery to me.....resorts call us to see if we would be interested in removing a lift and if we know of any buyers or want to purchase outright.

To list something for sale that you have no connection to and/or rights to is misleading.

Checks for complinace to the current standard are normally done when developing the engineering/installation package for a used lift. If someone purchased a used lift thinking they could re-install it without any modifications, well, if you can't say anything good about someone.......

I'm not saying that MRL is doing anything illegal. They are in the business of brokering, removing, transporting, selling, and installing used lifts. As Outback said, an area MAY have called them to see if MRL knew of anyone looking for a lift they were THINKING of replacing in the future and given MRL the information (Length, Vert, etc). They MAY or MAY NOT have said "list my lift".
The area also may wait until they have a buyer for their old lift before they consider replacing it.
All I'm saying is all of the lifts listed at MRL should NOT automatically go on you New Lifts for 2008 List.Make sense?

Ya just never know who you are dealing with on this website!
I believe I have figured out the puzzle....but first can I buy another vowel for the snowmobile fanatic or was that the electrical engineer of choice from Spokane?

Yes kidding aside FSJ, the MRL site bothers me........ No love whatsoever.
Maybe I spend too much money on liability insurance!

Snowmobiling fanatic first, lift engineer second.

Until money is spent, all the new lifts are "possible".

My only comment on a semi-public forum about MRL is "no comment". Personal opinions freely given privately.
