So it was he who had the idea of shouting instructions to lift riders via loudspeakers? Clearly, the man was ahead of his time.

Yeah, you don't hear about this kind of thing in history class. Still, I can't believe it took 6 pages of discussion about restraint bars before this came to light.

I'm bringing this up to the top, because I was wondering if anyone knew anything about European safety bar codes. The Frenchies on remontees-mecaniques.net are shocked that people don't use the bar, and even more shocked that some chairlifts do not have safety bars.
