I can't tell from the pic (it kida looks like you do) but do you have a hood scoop ? If yes where did you get that ? WRX hood ? Or after market scoop ? Did you bend the pipe for the turbo inlet ? Are all the parts from the same year WRX ? How did you get all those WRX parts ? Cruise church parking lots ? Sorry for all the ?'s I'm just curious. Was the exhaust hard to do ? Did you keep all the cats ?

Not sure what I'll get next maybe Jeep Wrangler or Liberty.

Just added an 07 Subaru Outback to our "fleet" of vehicles (00 Isuzu Rodeo, 00 Olds Bravada, & 89 F-150). Liking it so far although wife doesn't let me drive it very often-oh well no ski rack yet. I am currently driving the Olds to work and using the Rodeo to go to the mountians. Olds is beginning to really suck down the gas. F 150 has to be jumped every time it is used. I have put 3 batteries in it in the past 2 years (Wal Mart has good warranties) I'm thinking it needs a new alternator and probably a few other things. I am planning to try and sell the Bravada and either get an older Camry, Hyndai Sonata, Accord or the like for commuting to work or sell it and the F 150 and get a newer 4wd truck. I'd like to loose the Bravada before it needs those new fuel injectors Lift mech mentioned. Rodeo is still running strong (now at 137k), definately the best vehicle I have ever had and excellent in the snow.

Any recommendations on basic midsize sedans or trucks (midsize or full) ?? I will be looking for something with less than 100k miles which I can put another 60-70k on without too many major problems.

Yes, it is the factory hood scoop. I removed the cover from the bottom of the scoop so that air could flow across the intercooler.

The pipe is manderl bend. Just chop saw out the radius needed.

Turbo parts from a 2002-2007 WRX should be the same.

Ebay, Craigslist, A good subaru site

Cruise church parking lots?

You will have to expand on this one - I'm not understanding...

Please ask away!

Was the exhaust hard to do?

The biggest challenge was the up-pipe. That is the pipe that connects the exhaust manifolds to the inlet of the turbine. I had to extent it about a 1 1/2 inches.

Yes - keeps the check engine light extingushed

"Cruise church parking lots?" - It's a reference to an unfortunate incident that occurred with our founder's exhaust. Check the topic THEFT

So the car came with a scoop, even though it was non turbo ? Do you have a boost gauge ? I'm just wondering how much boost you're making with the new intake. I'm shopping for an intake, but don't have the $$$'s right now so I just do lots of "window shopping". I like the Injen cold air intake. I'm just wondering how hard it is to install since the filter is re-located behind the bumper.
I have lots of "mods" planned, but the biggest problem is the car is so nice the way it is already.

No boost gauge - I set the boost level to about 9 PSI. Others who have done this mod (at sea level) run 6 PSI without any problems. Because I live in an environment that the ambient air pressure is about 4 psi less than sea level, I feel fine with 9 PSI boost.

A fair amount of pre WRX Imprezas came with a non functioning hood scoop. What I am planning for a cold air intake is to enclose the air filter to the passenger side inlet that on the hood.

The stock BOV would interfere with the throttle so I blocked it off.

My Car... Stuck in the mud yesterday. Did you know that saturn's shouldn't go down class four roads when it's muddy? The kicker I was on my way back because the really bad section was up ahead. The Tow Truck wouldn't even come get me I had to run 2 1/2 miles to meet the tow truck for a ride back to town. My friend had to come from an hour away to get me out with his jeep. I was doing fine until I got in a rut I couldn't get out of... And then the mud puddle.

Alas - I still have the 1989 GMC Safari that I bought new. The original paint is nearly perfect (except for a few minor dings). Let's hear it for clear-coat!
A nearly perfect transportation solution. It doesn't owe me me a thing. Runs 500 mi on a tank load.

Is that an SC-1?? I drove a '96 SC-1 for 3 years. Aside from the radiator blowing up in the Eisenhower tunnel (when my Mom was riding in the car with me), the car was decent. It just did not expand along with my family so I replaced it with my '00 Isuzu Rodeo which I have driven for 9 years and just passed the 150k mile mark. My Saturn had 75k on it when I sold it to the Executive Director of the Sobriety House.

Wow, you have two GPS units. That must be really annoying when Tom and Jill fight over what turn to take.
