i love how i left both upstate new york, and the u.p. of Michigan to go west where the big snow is, and both places have much more snow than the tahoe basin.

Ours today would be best described as sleet, bordering on rain, wet foggy, turn the base to cement, why I left Vancouver in the 70's................. a genuine North Shore mountain winter's day.

Hey hey Mike! Come on, its not that bad over here in Vancouver!

Ok, today was terrible for BC skiing but at least we got good snow on the weekend and this terror will end by tomorrow afternoon. I skied and actually got some telemark turns on my xc skis in Vancouver city yesterday!

But I heard it was snowing today in Whistler Valley which doesn't make any sense to me at all..

Not to brag but I haven't been online much because Okemo has been positively spectacular. Over 20" natural in the last two week and their snowmaking has been really cranking. I have 15 days on snow and I had class today so I didn't go today but I expect to have 19 days by Friday! They have all areas of the moun tain open with the exception of the real estate access lift morning star triple and Jackson Gore is phenomenal!!

I've been shoveling constantly most of the weekend, we received a total of about 2 1/2 feet from this last system at the base of peak 8.
