There's some sort of big storm headed our way that's supposed to dump a bunch of snow but then get really warm and rain.

It's cold here (-5 F) and windy. We've been top to bottom since the second day we opened and have started opening natural snow terrain. The forcast is for 8" - 14" more by tomorrow. Yippee (I'm trying to muster up some excitement, but without much luck).

We've had about 6" here at the base since this morning and it's still dumping pretty good.
It's suposed to clear out by tomorrow morning but were expecting more next weekend.
We shuold be open almost fully by the 14th.

So Skier, you think that Washington's getting dumped, but I think Wolf Creek and Silverton win this round with 31 and 36 inches respectively!!!!!!!! Not too much on the I-70 corridor.

Try doing your research about places away from where you are before you make blanket statements about them.
And we didn't get much in southern Summit County, if you call 14" not much. Oh yeah and its still falling.

N. MI got a least 10 in. tonight, hard to tell with 30 mph winds. some ice pellets now, maybe a little rain, then more lake effect.. I agree with the mistress, hard to get excited..... especially when the roads are non-existant tonight. Nasty stuff

Snoqualmie COULD of opened this weekend but didn't, maybe this next weekend they will. There is a 22" base at Snoqualmie Summit and a 25" or so at the base of Alpental.

Hmmm, they only had 8" on the ground yesterday and it lookes like a mix of grass, mud, and slush. The 25" didn't fall until last night and today. Considering the rain tomorrow I think it was wise for them not to open just today.

It was at 8" when I checked, while considerable, nothing like 36". Anyway I can say winter is here! There was a good foot at Vail today.
