I just got a 3-month old Siberian Husky named Naala. She's the smartest puppy I've ever met. I had two really cool cats, but both passed away. My 18-year old Russian Blue, Flint, went a year and a half ago and I came home this past January and found my 13-year old Turkish Angora, Alyeska, on the floor. She died in my arms. I think she held on until I got home from work so we could say goodbye.

Here's my cat Whiskers. She was 4 months old when I got her at the pound. In this pic she's 2 years old. Now and then she gets a hold of a roll of toilet paper and TP's the house :w00t: ! She lives with my parents as we can't have pets in employee housing

Here's Naala. She's become the Lift Maintenance mascot here. These photos were after a long, hard day at work.

Meet Sara, she is about 9 years old but still loves everyone and everything.

Apparently this site does not like links from PhotoBucket, says Dynamic pages in the IMG tags are not allowed. Whatever.

Below each pic in Photobucket it already has IMG codes--click the bottom code and it will copy--just paste it into your message. The truck pic in my sig is from Photobucket

I don't have any pictures yet, but I adopted another Siberian on Saturday. His name is Jack and he's almost 3. My little husky is 7-months old now and she thinks Jack is a rock-star. They're both sweet, super friendly dogs but people seem to be very intimidated by their appearance and steer clear of us when we're out walking. I kind of like that.

We had a chicken once. She didn't have a name.

She got out of the coop one day and got chased by our dog. She decided to hide in this paint can, and then she couldn't get out. She fried herself to death. Poor girl.

Here's the culprit.

I know a fellow whose grandfather died in the can.

Cute little kitty Jim! Sally was my landlords "barn cat" when I used to live in Wilson...and when they moved to Victor they called me up and asked me if I wanted her. "Of course" was my reply! She's a great mouser.

That's awesome! Being a mouser, is she people friendly or does she hang outside all the time?

No. She wasn't worth it--chickens that get old like here get kind of stringy. We threw her in the dumpster just as she was--because frankly, we couldn't seem to save the can either. She was stuck.

I forgot to add--after she died, she did get a name: "Chicken-in-a-bucket."

She's grown quite accustomed to people. Original owners had 3 dogs and she held her own with them, but she lived out in the garage apartment with me most of the time! We got her back a year ago and she's doing well. Just need to keep an eye on the local coyotes.
