I will be away for awhile - leaving tomorrow for a week in Mexico. When I get back I'll be another year older.
See ya!

I'll be in GJ for the annual drink-and-schmooze fest known as RMLA. Hope to see several of you out there!

I will be leaving DIA 12:55am 9/20/07 bound for Athens Greece.

I will be returning 9/27/07 Unless I love it to much. Then I will never come back :). I know that some will be very happy if I do not return.

I will take pics of any lifts that I see.

I can't wait.

(Trip is paid for 100% as a b-day gift from a very close friend).

There is a really cool looking funitel called Mont Parnes that opened last April. It is a Doppelmayr 20 passenger model that operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is some more info here: http://www.etema.gr/...lmontparnes.htm

I was already planning on visiting this ropeway. I just could not remember if it was in GR or Holland.

24 hours a day, 360 days a year... 5 whole days a year to do maintenance???
I quess that Doppelmayr has truly come up with a "maintenance free ropeway".

The Ropeway is closed each Tuesday Morning for maintaince. I will be asking them how they get all the work done in just a mere 5 days.

:)

Ps. I will be riding it on Saturday or Sunday.

I believe the Worldbook stated that there are 2 complete drive systems and some extra cabins. They can shuffle between them I assume.
