btw it's a 6.2L DIESEL :)

I'm sorry. Good luck with the parts, our '85 6.2 we use as a work truck gets parts changed at least once a week. Water pumps, glow plugs, starters, and other various esential parts and the '80s chevy diesels are notorious for eating power steering belts. At least Chevy parts are cheap, which is good since they have to be replaced every other week.

Kicking Horse, is that a 4X4? I love those trucks! But all now for sale are rust buckets.

Yes she is a 4x4. When I was looking I found qutie a few that had zero rust but it was trashed or had a blown tranny or motor.

Mine has a lil bit of rust. My plan is to restore it and drive it forever.

looks like I'll be driving my dad's truck this winter; it's an '89 GMC 3/4 ton. Gets about 12 miles per gallon :cursing: I haven't had time to go shopping for a winter vehicle. Of course the one I've been drooling over I can't exactly afford!

Even though I'm more of an International person now I'll always have a place in my book for the Chevy 292 inline 6 and small-block V8! Those are bulletproof engines!

but still....they will never outpull a DT466!

pretty soon I'll be learning to drive again as I'm studying to get a commercial driver's license. Last time I took a test for a driver license was in 1985!
