Winter Park has signed off on the HSS to replace Timberline. Its alignment is going to be from the base of Sunnyside to skier's left of where Timberline currently drops skiers off.
timberline will be simultaneously removed and will replace arrow.

How come they would replace arrow with timberline. arrow is a yan triple and t-line is a heron poma double. It doesn't make sence. Did you mean looking glass? Even then it still is not much of an upgrade.

I think that's a mistake. From what I heard, Sunnyside was going to replace Arrow.

Here's a few more possibles to add to the list:
Lincoln Express HSQ - Loon Mountain, NH
Lincoln Express HSQ - Loon Mountain, NH
Lincoln Express will be built in 2007, as will a fixed grip quad "Tote Road" to connect the South Peak development with Loon. It also looks good for two more lifts at South Peak in 2008. A short lift of unknown type and a detachable of unknown specs to connect the new real estate development with the Lincoln Express.

New lift confirmed for Whistler (Kadenwood Gondola) For winter 08-09
It was on the front page of the business bc in Vancouver Sun today! Sort of suprising if you ask me.
Stats:
Kadenwood owned private gondola
Cost: 3.5 million Thats alot for this type of lift, must be really luxurious
Ride time 6 minutes
Vertical 228m
Length: 995m
Cabins: 4
People per Cabin: 8
Record broken: Canadas first exclusive community lift
Ooh, while it is currently planned as a private gondola, the article says that Whistler Blackcomb will operate the gondola and may allow for public use!
I think they are having some olympic venues between Kadenwood and the Village so that would prove another reason for the gondola.

Is the peak to peak Tricable, or whatever it is going to be done by then?

The lift at Kadenwood is strictly for the residents there, but will be operated by WB. We are also putting in a detach cabriolet from Creekside up to the timing flats (beside"At Natures Door") for the olympics. This will be moved to a new location after the olympics are done. We are trying to get both lifts done as a package.
The peak to peak will be a tri-cable gondola if it happens. We are waiting for the new owners to make a decision on it. (which must be made soon apparently)

"Jackson Hole, BC DoppelmayrCTEC 100 Passenger Tram Tram"
Last time I checked Jackson Hole was in the great state of Wyoming. I also think that it is a Garaventa tram.

I believe that Breck is planning on dropping the Indy 6pack return terminal down to the new peak 7 base area next summer, assuming that construction of that new base area stays on schedule. other than that I've heard plenty of possibilities discussed but nothing definitive. my guess is that 6 chair will be the next major upgrade/installation. colorado would be a logical upgrade, when i worked at breck i remember the CSC mechs saying they wished it would be replaced but that would mean part of the summer operations at breck would have to close for a season because they couldn't offer mountain biking or the scenic lift rides.
generally speaking though, over the next 5-7 years breck will be upgrading and adding a good amount of lifts and terrain, its just not big enough right now for the crowds that they are getting

There was talk last year of replacement for 6 chair. However, they decided to postpone that for a few seasons. It would be nice to replace Colorado, but only with another quad. A six pack would put waaaay too many people on the mountain. I am getting tired of Colorado. I have been stuck on it for 15+ mins on many occasions, and no, it wasn't someone falling at the top. I would be fine if they closed the scenic lift rides and mountain biking for a new lift!
Lastly, I am pretty sure that they will move Independence next summer. The buildings are highly visible over the trees from our house. It will definitely be an eye sore.

Among the "possible" new lifts for this season, I feel I must list the two Doppeltecs currently being installed at Brian Head. Judging from the progress, we might not make it before the new year.

Snoqualmie's Environmental Impact Statement is due out in December, so possibly next summer could see some new lifts. Crystal is getting the Millicent double chair from Brighton, and it is going in Bullion Basin, hence the name "Bullion Basin"

Where do you stand as of today? If concrete is in the ground, you're doing alright. As you know, it's tying in all the electrical at the end that counts!

first one--GREAT idea; it's about time!!
second one--not needed; they should turn Iron Horse into a triple instead
as for Badger, I think we should get a conveyor

It's good to see that they're not scrapping the Yan center pole.

A six pack's almost guaranteed when it happens. They're even talking of possibly a HSE, but I really hope that never happens.
