No, they are doing summer maint. on it right now...a large boulder rolled down the line fron the construction and hit a tower an the work chair... but it appears to be in really good shape. They want to keep it, at least for a bit longer.

Looking at the motor room on WBSKI's site it looks like D-CTEC has adapted the uni-star terminal cosmetics into the Galaxy

Hey Skier, are you planning on getting pics of the towers being installed? Do they have a date yet?

Yeah, they are going to let me know when it is. Probably the 1st week of September. They still have 8 foundations to do and none of the tower tubes or sheaves have arrived yet.

It just needs a new haul rope, I think it is every 7-10 years that they have to be replaced.

Rope replacement varies widely depending upon use and application (Riblet clip vs. external grip). Riblet ropes such as this one do last less than others, but still longer than your 7-10 year statement.

This BW is going to the top of O-1 at copper, its going to be a big job. Unfortunate that the terminal just got repainted tearing it up is not going to preserve the orange crush color well. The old wheel, though code allows for the repair of cracks, has been fixed more times than I can count and needs this replacement. John are you all doing the return BW at S this summer Too?

Return bullwheel is fine, has 1-year-old bearings and a new paint job. Trust me, I've checked this one out too. No torque and much less tension than the top, that's why it's ok while we're replacing the top. We're not tearing up the terminal skin, just everything inside. If I have any time I'll take photos of the project, should be entertaining if nothing else.
