Apsen Lifts

liftmech's Photo liftmech 17 Nov 2003

Yes, and they're a :censored: :censored: to work on. Both of ours have had to be repaired multiple times, and have had parts added to them to make them work properly. I guess (from what their service guys say) that they are cheaper than having a tower right outside the terminal.

seems like poma really wants to lower the price of their lifts to make them more attractive to potential buyers. Doppelmayr instead seems to be headed in the other direction with the UNI-G 's

And yet Doppelmayr was still able to bid lower than Poma for the Diamond Peak Crystal Express. I can only guess the same was true for the new Canyon Express at Heavenly.

even if poma bid lower for the heavenly lift, i believe they would have gone with doppelmayr. Every other hs lift there is a dopp, and i doubt they want to train the lift mechs how to treat a diffrerent type of lift. At northstar they have the tower attached to the terminal, but it is at the top station, and sierra has it on the bottom of easy rider

New Poma Omega terminals: UGLY
Recent Poma Alpha terminals: PRETTY
New Poma Satellit: BETTER THAN OMEGA
First Poma Alphas: :crying:
Older Poma Omegas: YEAH!

New Poma towers: I HATE square-shaped frames.

I like the bottom terminal on Ajax. However, the top is absolutely horrible :bag: Way too thick. The stack was much, much better than this.

The bottom terminal is great, not so sure about the extra-fat top. I like the stack better

it depends on where the drive is.

Yea, Sunshine doesn't have power up top, so they have the drive unit on the bottom because they arn't allowed to run power up there.

The new skinny return terminal is really nice, even better than last year. They should bring back the stack for 2004

just a couple months ago wern't we talking about how ugly the stack was?

floridaskier's Photo floridaskier 30 Nov 2003

Yes we were, but if the choice is the stack or this new one, I'd go with the stack any day

I'm bringing this topic back up. Does anyone have pictures of the old Ajax Express? I can't find any anywhere.

The lift looks really nice, I've always liked Poma's better than Dopps.

I believe it was a Performance series like the Flyer and Colorado lifts.
