I look at what you write... AFI, Pink Floyd, Dream Theater, The White Stripes, Led Zeppelin, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers... you guys do have good taste in music! Thousands times worth the crappy rap my bro listens to...
The two ones I put on Repeat right now are Song 2 by Blur and This Time Imperfect by AFI...

Are there any fellow LimeWire and uTorrent users out there? At least in this area, they are heavily used. Since there is nothing illegal about them (yet, who knows what the government will do), most people dont see a real issue. Its a great way to find new artists or find those one-hit wonders uve always been looking for. uTorrent on the other hand allows to download complete discographies of virtually any artist out there. I don't use uTorrent for this because I only have dial-up but my friends do and love it. LimeWire luckily works on my full bandwidth so I get a song usually in 15 minutes (ya its bad but decent for 45kbps dial-up).
What do you guys think about this so-called file sharing. Is it ok or do you believe it should be illegal? (Am I missing something or is file sharing in the States now illegal?)
As for myself, I am currently in a Rammstein (the German stuff), In Flames, and Oomph! (german) listeming frenzy along with some new found music to myself: 30 Seconds To Mars and E Nomine (German). Reise, Reise by Rammstein in the album Reise, Reise is my fav. song at teh moment and the live version from the album Volkerball is awesome. Check it out.

I believe that 14 people who share music on LimeWire at my school, University of Oregon, were fined by the RIAA five weeks ago.
I can see how file sharing has be misused by people downloading full length albums with the artist not receiving a penny in return, but it's more of the record labels fault for selling such expensive CDs. Universal was the only company that made an effort to lower its CD prices to $9.99, but stopped after it CD sales remained the same. However, I can't see spending $16 for a CD with only one or two good songs on it, so I've been buying my songs from iTunes and brand new CDs off of Amazon.com with broken jewel cases for about $4. I also think the RIAA is now trying to pass a bill that would make transferring songs from your own CDs to your MP3 player illegal since you don't own that format and is trying to sue XM Radio for allowing its radio receivers to store songs on them. Maybe in the future it will be illegal for your friends to listen to music in your car since they don't own the CD.
But copyright issues are a much bigger issue in other countries around the world like in Asia, but the RIAA feels it can be more successful suing North Americans to recover their lost income.

50's, 60's, 70's, 80's rock mosty. Plus some country, a little hip hop (mostly older stuff), R&B, reggae, and of course surf music!
Nothin' like playing The Beach Boys at a California ski resort!
People told me I played the best music at my lift.

Great lyrics! Another song to add to my collection. I've been around old cars my whole life. My dad had a '32 Chevy for a long time.

A couple new ones: Artic Monkeys and the Coral (new to me at least). Also anyone who hasn't tried Pandora.com for music yet you have to do it. Just tell them what you like and they play it. That is how I find music now.

Some stuff to check out... Band of Horses, Vampire Weekend, Ladyhawk. Also, if you haven't heard these two albums yet, you need to soon Radiohead In Rainbows and Eddie Vedder's solo album Into the Wild.

Some good rock to play loud: The Matthew Good Band (for my fellow Americans, you can find them at maplemusic.ca, chapters.ca, and Amazon is starting to carry them as well) The lyrics are a bit obtuse sometimes, but after a few listens they start to make sense.
On the other end of the spectrum (read: quiet) I've been digging Iron And Wine lately.

My fav band is Tool but Fort Minor's album "The Rising Tied" is great to ski too. My other tastes range from Dave Mathhews band to Slipknot to Tori Amos to Eminem and everything in between. I currently am listening to Silverchair's last two albums Diarama and Young Modern.

I listen to just about everything except opera, country and rap. Right now it's the White Stripes and The Bravery, Green Day always works for me. A couple of other mentions, ZZ Top, Disturbed, Smashing Pumpkins and INXS. Just took out of the cars player, Rush-Hemispheres. I even bought Lilly Allen's album
