Can anyone ID these lifts?

Peter's Photo Peter 12 Feb 2007

These are used lifts listed on Mad River Lifts, and I am trying to figure out where they are. #s 2 and 3 are preorders for lifts being removed this summer, I'm not sure where. #1 is really confusing me, and the rest must be from somewhere in Quebec or the Midwest, I am not sure where. Help!

I thought so too but there are no Riblet doubles in Alaska in the installation survey in any of the years around 1978.

Eagle Crest has two Riblets to my knowledge.

Could it be the old Riblet double from Apex?

I have pictures of both Eagle Crest lifts and they don't look like the one being sold.

I dont know the history but the one that I have seen, that looks like this one, was an airforce ski hill and that one was removed in the 1990's some time.

Is it being replaced?

Also it appears they are using a picture from Skilifts.org's gallery

Edit: Also Mainline lift is for sale

Yea, the Naked Lady lift picture on MRL's website is also from Skilifts.org.

I am pretty sure that this used lift posted recently is the Yellow Chair from Silver Star. The length, vertical, and year are about right plus it had a midstation.

According to MRL's website, its brokerage service is free and the ski resorts/areas are the ones that provide the information and consent to sell its lifts on MRL's website.

From a marketing approach, it's a good way to get more business. Offer a free service that can lead to the removal and/or installation of a lift.

It seems like Mad River Lifts is doing more removals than installs these days. It seems they have had multiple unhappy customers in the past few years. Castle Mountain was not happy with the condition of their lift from Beaver Creek after some parts got damaged, and Park City went to Doppelmayr for the Silver Star lift half way through the project.

 That would be the correct way to do it Cameron, however I have seen lifts posted on that site that did not get a prior consent or approval to advertise. Nothing is free in this industry.
