Is the new Silverlode going to be a D-C or L-P, Allan?

It's a Doppelmayr! I'll let you know the terminals when I go back to work, I have the PDF at work.

Maybe Bromont will have a FG double for 2007. (Just a guess)

I'm 90% sure they have the Doppelmayr double from Le Massif stored somewhere, ready to be installed.

I am almost sure that mont ripley is going to install the proposed lift next year. They already have it on premise as it is used. I have yet to know what brand it is but I may be able to find out.

Crystal chair at Blackcomb is far from certain. The 3s is being renegotiated due to to the fall in the value of the $CAD vs the Euro. Material prices have also risen.

I heard today from an instructor (always a reliable source for this type of information) that the lift at Deer Valley on the mountain to the south of Empire is going in next summer. If history means anything, it'll be a DoppelmayrCTEC HSQ, no idea on the name though

The Mt. Ripley chair is a used Riblet double from Aerial Eng. I have been told its construction was started last summer, but paper work challenges slowed the project. Oh, well, one more year to ride the T-bar.

Nice, I really like the Galaxy II. There aren't too many of them around, either. Only 6 I think:
Snowbird
Bromont x2
Solitude
Mt Washington
Bolton Valley

I assume the Boomerang at Mt Washington is the lift with Galaxy 2?

It's pretty funny that Lutsen would put in a HS. Their slopes really aren't that long. It'd be like riding Excelerator at Copper. Very short. I think it would almost put too many people on the slopes, unless they go low capacity. I really don't think they need one. It would be the first HS for Minnesota though.

Lift Kid, first there is a HS in MN now, at Spirit Mt (installed '86). Second, Lutsen has the need for a HS more than any other midwest resort. They have a lift with 800' vert and its nearly 4000' long, or longer. I believe the lift would coincide with a new base area at Moose. They also could benifit from the marketing involved, many ski areas that are 2-6 hours closer to the couple metro areas already have them. If a HS at Lutsen is overkill, try the ones at Mt. Holly, Bittersweet and the beg. one at Alpine, WI (all about 300'vert and 100' long)

I didn't know that Spirit had a HS. I am going there on Sunday too! I guess Lutsen could use one, but the slope congestion would still be bad.

Please take lots of pics of the Spirit HSQ, it is very unique, a Borvig/VonRoll with bubble chairs.

It's actually a Borvig / Leitner with CTEC chairs, and the bubbles were removed this summer due to high maintenance costs.

Ok well the CTEC bubble chairs were originally installed on the fixed grip Double Jaw quad in 1989. Sometime after the chairs from the fg quad and the Borvig Leitner hsq were switched.

I will take a whole bunch of pics and they'll be on my website soon. Sounds like quite the interesting lift. I can't wait to ride it.
