Here is an old trail map from Crystal Mountain in 1987.
Lifts on the map, no longer there:
C2 - Iceberg Ridge
C5 - Campbells Basin
C7 - Bulllion Basin
T-Bar
Rope Tows
Funny not seeing a lift where Forest Queen now is.

Cool. Why didnt Mt Bachelor call the express Triple an express lift? It just says Summit Chair. They should have at least said Summit Express, just leave out the SUPER if it didnt go as fast.

Here's a link to the homepage of a guy who has been collecting ski area maps for several years now. Mostly current maps, but he has some old versions as well.
He might like a copy of these older maps.

I just thought I would clear some things up. Skimaps.com isn't owned by Chris Bradford, he only runs it. Skimaps.com is owned by a unviersity in the East I think and when they decided not to operate it because lack of profit, etc they shut it down. Chris brought it back to life at the end of last year, which I think is just a marketing strategy for his website, snowjoural.com. Chris makes money off skimpas.com by advertising and his online store, which sells ski gear.
Chris has a very strict copyright law on skimaps.com about using these trail maps on other sites, and you can't unless you get his permission and the resorts permission. Kind of wacked I think, and Chris is the type of guy who will take legal action if he doesn't like something. If you ever fallow the snowjournal.com website, you will know what I'm talking about. Some people like him and some people hate him and they have left his site.

Very good question - it was a double! In those days we only had one triple, and that was Paradise!

You must mean 1978, not '87- C-8 and C-9 were there in '87. That map is the way I remember Crystal when I was first skiing. I also remember getting off C-5 the first day of the '83-'84 season and thinking 'hey, where did that chair come from?' (C-9) Thanks for posting that, Bill. :)

Clever guy, yes, C-9 and C-8 were put in in 1983-84 and also C-7 was moved in 1983-84, so I was wondering if you were gonna catch that. That is the map Crystal sent the White Book people in 1986.
That was from the 1987 White Book of Ski Areas.
