The information that I have gotten so far is that it will be a single rope with top drive bottom tension, and the drive equipment and top bullwheel apear to have been installed.

Yup. The bullwheel is in and the drive is too. I highly doubt that it's ready to roll though. (electrical work, etc.) Shock Hill looks almost done.
What is the current story on the tension station? (transportation center) Is it up yet?

Yeah, it's all ready. They're just waiting for a rope, but they say it won't open till January. They also will have load testing to do.

If it follows suit with most of Breck's detachables won't it be a right hand drive. The only deviation from this is the Imperial lift which is a left hand drive. This is all only a guess.

No, they're about 50-50.
Independence, Imperial, Beaver Run, Mercury, and Rocky Mtn are left.
Colorado, Superconnect, Quicksilver and Falcon are on the right.

Are you helping install the electrical equipment Wally?
I plan on visiting Powder Mountain in about 2 weeks so hopefully this lift will be open by then.

No. I just stand around watching people work.
Powder is now open with one lift running (Sundown).
More snow is needed for Hidden Lake to be skiable.
It will probably snow during the load test, Dec 11-12.

Breckenridge received more gondola cabins. They also changed the gondola's opening date to Jan. 18. Does anyone know why they keep moving back the opening dates?

So how's that going to work? Are they just not going to let people board or exit there? Seems sort of weird. Anyone know what the reasoning behind this is?
The gondola will still travel through the peak 7 station but the doors will not open, as such people will not be able to unload but they do need an angle station there even with out unloading because theres a large turn there.

Because theres lots of work still to be done. The Peak 7 station is not complete and the haul rope has yet to go in as well as the loading platform in town and at shock hill. Theres probably alot more to do that I dont know about too. But as a big time Breckenridge skier I'm sure you probably already knew all of that.

You haven't missed too much. I don't even think Peak 8's open yet.

Yeah. It would also be nice if they opened the lifts, but not the base. It would be empty.
