That bridge is for the short term, I was referencing mre of long term plans and the reason that it was constructed off of ground level. I have pics to post tonight.

Ah, I see. Big happenings. The construction at the new Peak 7 Base was pretty interesting too.

Looks like Stowe has new Omega cabins for their transfer lift. I thought it was going to be a cabriolet?

That was an interesting swing. All the news and information that I saw showed that that was going to be a Cabriolet. I look forward to riding this thing this winter.

Maybe Stowe thought a short gondola was called a cabriolet?

Tombstone six pack at The Canyons, keeping with The Canyons' new red theme that showed up on Day Break and Dreamcatcher this summer. Doesn't look like it'll be ready to go by Saturday. I don't see any chairs, and I can't tell if there's a haul rope yet. I hope they can get it finished soon, it's probably the most important lift there after the gondola

It is suprising that The Canyons had Dreamcatcher completed and load tested in mid October, but the much more important Tombstone lift isn't complete yet. Did anyone else read in this months issue of SAM that Soaring Eagle at Snowshoe, West Virginia was completed and load tested in Early August?

This is not an official word but there was discussion on the radio this morning about Breck pushing back the opening of the Gondola because the two mid stations are not up yet and the rope still has to be pulled. The date discussed was early January.

They recently changed it to 1-1-07 but they could change it at any time.

The DV webcam is now pointing back over towards the new Sterling HSQ. Can't tell if there's any chairs on the line yet (or even if there's a line). Looks like it's going to have 90 degree loading and rotate in the opposite direction of the old Sterling, seeing where the lift sign board is

Are those chairs on the Powder Mountain lift different? The backrests look different from the ones on other lifts.

At DV, the old Sterling and new Sterling bottom are not same place. Old ones stood was close to the hill, the skiers skiied pass Sterling Lift toward to Quincy and Red Cloud from Carpenter and Silver Lake or the skiers ski toward Silver Lake and Homesteak either. New Sterling have moved far from the hill, close to the buildings, just like about moved 100 to 200 feet. The skiers will ski under new Sterling to Quincy and Red Cloud or ski under the Sterling from Quincy and Red Cloud to Silver Lake or Homesteak either.

You're right...old Sterl was a left hand carry, new Sterl is right hand...the shack is on the other side of the terminal. I hear that carriers are still on the ground due to a shortage of electricans on Doppelmayr's end...they sell a really nice lift for a good price so I can see why.

plus it looks like they werent able to do any dirt work to bring ramp elevation up. Guess Paul and crew will have thier work cut out when they get to build the loading ramp. Boys, break out the shovels.
haha. Something i don't miss, building the loading ramps with snow.

I should have pictures of our nice new 'carpet', but wait, the delivery date has been moved for the 3rd time, the earlist is mid-Dec. It wasn't like it was ordered yesterday. Should be fun installing on Christmas Eve, under the fallout of our guns.

Breckenridge's website says that the Peak 7 Station won't be open until the 2008/09 Ski Season.
