You guys all must be new or somthing.... winter is coming, no doubt. But give it time! It's only Sept we all still have lots of work. I use to think oh' let it snow, but I grew up. You want to ruin somthing you love, get a job doing it... for 25 years than lets talk!

"Ruin something you love..... ' something I thought never would happen. But after 12 years, the last place I need to be after working for days and weeks straight is not work. 25 years... impresive. I agree, winter will come way too soon again. It can get cold if it wants Dec 1.

I've done 26 years in the same place, but then again it's not still the same place, technology constantly changes and keeps it interesting. It kinda sucks when the guys in the shop do inventory and you find you are listed on it. I just hope they called me an asset.

Part of me wants to tune up the skis and get after it... the other (probably more realistic) part wants all of our recent snow to melt since there's still work to be done, and trying to get around the mountain on muddy roads is not fun. I agree with you, Towertop- give it time!

I know that the season is a ways off and I'm not excited to see the snow come but more dissapointed since this is the first time I have been out of the state for the first snow in Colorado. I like to see the first snows and watch it melt back down so that I can enjoy more of the fall weather then I'm ready for the season to get going full bore by Dec. I know that there is lots of work still to be done before the resorts can be ready for the season especially for lift maint, but I do like to see early openings since my department doesn't start up until we open.

currently high n dry here in So Lake Tahoe. With no bad weather forcasted, in the next week or so.
Ran into snow over the weekend driving across I-80 in eastern Wyoming. Sunday Park City was also high n dry, patches of snow up high. Front side of the Wasatch was covered lightly. Still not enough to fire up lifts.

Well, Denver was supposed to get snow for the Bronco's game, but it was a no-snow no-show. I guess the foothils did get some, but there was no way that we would get any with the ground as wet as it was.

We've finally had our first couple of snows for the season here in Lyndonville, VT. Mostly higher elevation stuff though, 1800' and higher. Although we are fortunate that we are forecast for 2"-4" this weekend. I'll be in Boston though.

Keystone reported 41" out of this last storm, over the several days it was here. Looks like they're no longer in the 'donut hole' of Summit county.

Yes, we open a week from today. Eagle, Excelerator, Storm King, and Pitchfork along with the Easy Rider Carpet. Should be entertaining as usual. More lifts to follow as Mother Nature and the snowmakers allow.
