Well, the snow's gonna halt all progress pretty soon.

It looks like Beaver Creek's gondola came from Europe do to the fact that the tower heads are the Doppelmayr European design.

Wow, I wonder why Beaver Creek got the European towers and parts. The Avon terminal looks really over built with that fancy tower and it is way up in the air. All of the European stuff looks way over designed and really bulky.

Beaver Creek likes the European stuff and has decided that all there new detachables will be uni-g models. This is mostly to simplifiy inventory and mantinance. The gondola has the same terminals as hss, which is mostly a beafed up version of all the other Uni-g lifts at BC. I think the overbuilt design is why the more economical gs terminals have been developed for the U.S. market. Most resorts unlike BC want a hsq or hss that will work without issues for a economical price

I'm glad that B.C's sticking with the UNI-G. They look a lot cooler than the GS.

Why is that upper terminal so high?

they're going to fill around it...the terminal is by a stream so they probably had to go quite deep to get a solid foundation.

the upside down Y shaped front mass will remain exposed the tall rear mast is due to soil conditions and the bank of the flood plain. The top of the steel box attached to the inclind section of the concrete is where grade will be on that section of the terminal.

I wonder why it has two 12-rockers at the BC landing station, when it only changes aobut 10 degrees?

And is that a bubble chair on the Lower BC express?

Did Eagle Wind get new towerheads? I don't recall there being lifting arms on that lift when it was installed on the front side of the mountain.

The "Y" seems to have been added on the top, I don't think that is the original Yan design.

It might be the same, I just thought it looked a little different. But the towers from Outrigger did not have the Y's so I thought maybe Winter Park welded similar designed Y's on that they made themselves. Just a thought.
