Yeah, I was just looking at the SV website. Since when was Challenger open for summer?

it just dumped snow for the first time this season in Winter Park

Look at this! It is from Fortress, Alberta yesterday! I wish that were me...

O that is sweet. I hope the snow is good out West this year. I think I'm going in February or March. Last time I went, it hadn't snowed for a long time. I hope its better this time.

No snow in Ontario yet. (of course)

In the mountains of NC and SC it is about 50 degrees at night, and about 80 degrees in the heat of the day.

CRYSTAL MOUNTAIN, Wash. - A dusting of snow fell during the early morning hours Tuesday at Crystal Mountain.

Tiana Enger of Crystal Mountain ski area said this is very early for the first snowfall of the year. Typically the first snowflakes fall towards the end of September.

Last year Crystal Mountain opened Nov. 4, which was the earliest opening in 28 years.

Crystal Mountain usually opens in mid-November. Last year opening day was Nov. 4, the earliest opening in 28 years.

Enger said it's too early to know when the opening date for the 2006-2007 ski season will be.

The National Weather Service says the snow level is expected to be between 6,000 and 9,500 feet through the weekend.

Real snow in NH on Mt. Washington! Yee-haw!

4-6 inches last night, 10-20 on the way for our area (depending upon how the next storm tracks). We tried to run the Flyer today but many of the grips were so iced up we couldn't get them to move through the terminals. Good news for the skiing public, bad news for us.

Snowbird reports 7 inches of snow on the ground, and expecting 6-10 more inches tonight.

Frequently Colorado's best snows are in March and of course for those of us who truly know Colorado, "April showers bring May blizzards."

Up here in Montana we are getting some snow. Not quite sure how much but it looks like a lot up in the mountains. Pretty sweet.

First day skiing! Alta probably won't open for two more months, but we were happy to taste today's 14 inches.

March has historicaly been one of the best snow months for the state and the central mountains of colorado(ie Vail, Summit County) are usualy the resorts that benifit from it the most.

Also Summit County has so far recieved over two feet already. It makes me wish that I wasn't stuck in rain country. But I will be back in Colorado in about a week.
