The actual ride on the East River chair was not too bad but it did have its share of stops and slows due to people having difficulty loading and unloading the FGT. Also the chairs seemed to bounce a lot going into the lower terminal. I always thought that was a little odd and wondered if it was safe, must not have been too bad though since they always had that bounce and the lift was there since '97 with no incidents. Any word on whether or not the lift will be reused again on the mountain, maybe for Teocalli bowl??

Crested Butte's website does have a news article about the 5 year upgrading process. They plan on putting in lift out of Teocali Bowl but it doesn't say if it will be the old East River chair. Although the article is from November 2005, I would think that the upgrades are still the same since I cannot find any other articles saying otherwise.

My dad's out in Park City now and he got some pictures of Sterling at DV. It looks like the top terminal is in just about the same spot as before, and the bottom terminal was moved back a bit. The bottom terminal is mostly up, but the top isn't in yet. There's more if anyone wants

Wow, I knew Leitner-Poma terminals went up fast, but not that fast! When were the first pictures taken?

From Snowbird's website:

The top terminal of the new Peruvian Express high-speed quad. The rebar you see indicates the top of the "Vault" walls. The Vault will house the chairlift's main and auxiliary drives and be located below ground to minimize noise.

I believe the gondola's midstation is located at the base of the former Funnel lift.

I didn't know vault drives were still being built. Apparently so.

Here is the new Harry's Dream lift at Beaver Mountain. I think it is the old Germania lift from Alta. It appears to have a new DoppelmayrCTEC tower head on tower 1.

Given that the new Huckelberry lift is a Doppelmayr could it possibly be the old Snowbird Peruvian lift?

Beaver Mountain's new Harry Dream lift is the old Germania or the old Collins as Beaver Mountain bought both lifts from Alta when they were replaced.
