You might want to check out the following link: http://www.libbymt.c...ions/turner.htm

On these pages is a very good photo essay describing the installation progress of a chairlift at Turner Mountain Montana, near Libby. In 2001, this community and volunteer-run mountain replaced quite possibly 'the world's longest t-bar' with a used Riblet centre-pole double chair.

Turner, which I checked out in 2000 while on a trip to Whitefish, is a great little mountain. In fact, a perfect location for a potential future skilifts.org winter get-together, as groups can rent the whole place for themselves.

Funny for you to mention that, I was looking at the site tonight also. I've been planning out the Skilifts.org Summer Road trip and wondered if we should stop there.

Nifty page. The remodeled drive terminal looks like a Riblet version of Poma's Alpha drive, except for the actual motor house/carriage. That's pure Riblet, right down to the triangular windows.
You should stop there, and then turn south into CO and visit...

Some of us have jobs and cant get that much time off. I would like to get down to Colorado, but we could spend a week just in Summit County. :) But it would be fun to come down and meet up with you and Brad if is hanging out during the summer.

Most definately Brad. Almost time for a Skilifts.org tour and such, I can be like Dick Cheney and hustle money for my site. :) ---
