Ian...if its the same guy...has tons of lift experience.
Used to work with him at CTEC.
Who is getting the lift?
Some beer company?

Yep...same guy! He's awesome! Very safe and very fun to work with. I don't know who's getting the lift...he's being very good with the demo though...and I'm sure we'll all meet up for some brews at O'shucks on Tuesday night for some three dollar fishbowls.

Well the latest is that sterling is going to some amusement park to take guests from the parking lot to the park. Just a rumor you didnt hear it from me though. also haul rope is down and spooled up ready to go. like jimmy was saying the whole return station is gone, and I think the towers might be flying this weekend.

I found the coolest lift construction watching webcam yet! It is one of those controllable cams at Bear Creek, Pennsylvania. Off to the right is the removal of E lift, which will be replaced with a new DoppelmayrCTEC quad.

Interesting and fun! Do you know if they're re-using that lift? or is it scrap

It's a Miner-Denver so most likely it will be scrapped.

Anyone have pictures of this lift other than it being removed?

Bearings for the wheels...and the sheave halves always crack...the assemblies crack because they're aluminum. It was mainly the line machinery....which we opted to replace with Doppelmayr line gear for 280,000 but DV decided to just tear 'er down and build another Detachable.

Are you guys replacing the aluminum assemblies on Mayflower, or is this coming in a couple years: Attached File  liftline.jpg (34.31K)
Number of downloads: 149  They really don't need it, but we can imagine anyway

That snow melts off fast when its 82 degrees. Almost all of it looks like it melted off this last week

That would make pretty much every major lift an HSQ, except Crown Point and Deer Crest

It probably won't be long until DV installs a HSQ to replace the Burns and Snowflake lifts.

Yeah, even Crystal wants to replace Discovery with an HSQ

there are slight differences in the wheels on Mayflower...I don't think that lift is going anywhere anytime soon...Deer Crest will probably go detachable once the St. Regis hotel if finished off the side of Deer Hollow. I'm sure they won't want their guests riding that long and slow lift.....it'll be interesting to see how fast we can run it because the top gets windy as you already know Floridaskier
