Did you guess on some of these because I can't understand why a new fixed grip quad this year would be upgraded to a HSQ the fallowing year or replacing Sam's Knob at Snowmass with a HSS when that entire terminal was just relocated.

However, to add to the list, here are some more new lift posibilities:
Snow Basin, Little Cat Express HSQ
The Canyons, Quad
Miners Club @ The Canyons, Pulse Gondola
Brundage, N/A (The lift line has been cut)
OHSU, Aerial Tram

When I went to visit northern, I got to qiuckly stop by marquette mountain. I saw what looked like an old riblet in a clearing below the hill. so the triple mentioned above is probably going to be used.

As for Crystal, the tram will be started this year, but could see operation in the 2007-2008 ski season (takes two summers to complete). I have heard the the Morning Glory lift will be put in this summer though and possibly the Park N Ride Quad.

Aspen has modified plans for Snowmass a bunch of times, I think I read about a Sam's Knob six pack awhile ago.

The Canyons' Dreamcatcher quad already has the line cut.
Eventually Deer Valley is replacing the Deer Crest quad with a detachable. This could be this year, or the next, whenever they finish that massive hotel going up there.

I don't think they would replace a one-year old lift with a high speed quad (Solitude) but they originally planned it to be one, so maybe it was designed to be easy to upgrade

At Crystal, the Northway triple or double should go in this summer. It was renamed Northway after the line was changed from Morning Glory bowl to northway bowl.

I think that Burke Mountain, VT has already ordered another new HSQ to replace the Willoughby Quad. The old Willougby Quad will probably be moved to another location on the mountain.
Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

Heavenly's hsq is most likly a go. The lift is in storage in Salt Lake because it was going to have been built last summer but the permits did not go throughin time.
The lift is a UNI-G

There is still some talk arround Keystone regarding a full River Run gondola replacement rather than relocating the lower station. Also there are a few that are a ways off and more rumor at this point but there is talk about opeing a new area to the east with a six pack on the front of Dercum Mountain and also a HSQ to run a line somewhat similar to the former St. Johns or Ida Belle lift.

For the Cottonwood Canyon resorts the only action your going to see I believe is going to be that of Peruvian Express at Snowbird. This is a for sure and the others in the Canyon you mentioned I highly doubt will be put in this year. Brighton although they have been talking about the Millicent upgrade for years and will do it one of these days I'm sure probbally won't be doing it this year. No preperations or permits that I'm aware of have been submitted. Also upgrading Solitude's lift I don't see either. It is a relatively short lift and I don't think would need the capacity of a HSQ. With Snowbird building one HSQ I don't see them being able to pull off building any more this summer in the way of a Little Cloud update or whatever.

I haven't heard anything official from Lake Louise about Wolverine or Richardson's expansions, the lifts have been on the Maps for quite a long time, at least since 2001 or so. Currently there is a petition submitted to the auditor general of Canada regarding the ecological impact of the expansion, so i wonder if they will ever manage to expand, however i guess that's the nature of building a ski resort in a National Park.

I agree. They actually said in their plans that Big Burn's days were limited.

The expansion of Powder Mountain (installation of new lifts) is still in the planning stage and will
take plenty of time before anything really happens. -Odgen Standard Examiner.

As far as replacing the old lifts... don't I wish!

There is a lift at Beaver Mountain named Harry's Dream which the area is in the process of
improving or replaceing.
