If anyone has some cool pics of really steep or scary runs, please post them here. I like looking at these kinds of pics, it helps me get through times without skiing.

Here's a picture looking down a chute in Mott Canyon at Heavenly:

Some of the steepest inbounds terrain can be found just beyond the "drop in" at the top of Delerium Dive at Sunshine Village. Avalanche Gear is required to enter.

I'll have to take some pictures of RTS at Willamette Pass the next time I'm there. The run has a maximum angle of 52 degrees and it's one of the 5 runs in North America for speed trials.

Not steep, but when it rains (melts), then re freezes the next night you get this:

A pure sheet of ice. Not fun.

I'd agree, almost any diamond run on frozen snow is nasty to ride on and not any fun.

This isn't anything 'crazy steep', I just like the shot. I took it in mid May at hyak just before my decent.

Edmontonguy. Cool pic.s Just one bad edge and your done! I'll drop anything in powder, but that chute just looks like death. The stairway must be for the ice climbers to get out.

Ooo... Hangman's...

I waited for the patroller to go down first so that I could see what would happen.

If you weren't scared out of your mind looking at my picture of "drop in" dive, at Sunshine Village, check out this photo from further down the ridge looking back towards the entrace to Delerium Dive.

I thought about doing Corbett's Couloir at Jackson Hole when I was there but it was a whiteout and you are just setting yourself up for serious trouble. When I rode the tram up, the drop didn't look to bad but close up it might look a lot worse.

The pictures don't really do it justice, but here are a couple of 'scary' runs. Taken one looking down into 'Corrie Dubh' and the 'Braveheart Chairlift' from the summit, the other looking at the same chairlift from opposite. The resort is Nevis Range in Scotland.
