A question though: With the shortened Burlingame lift, can you still ride it to reach Sam's Knob. Does it still unload high enough? It did not sound as if it did.

Theres a place for all of God's creatures, right next to the mashed potatoes.
"You could say that a mountain is alot like a woman, once you think you know every inch of her and you're about to dip your skis into some soft, deep powder...Bam, you've got two broken legs, cracked ribs and you pay your $20 just to let her punch your lift ticket all over again"

There are no plans to replace the Coney Glade Chair. It will not run everyday, but will be a parallel chair similar to Burlingame or Naked Lady that operates for special events and during the busiest periods.
Hope this clears things up for you.

we now have some pictures of new lift stuff

Number of downloads: 26
first one is of the cement for the top terminal being poured

Number of downloads: 30
second is one of the towers being helicoptered in.

Number of downloads: 29
this one is of a tower that has been flown in and is attached to the foundation

Number of downloads: 44
the last one is of the lift line for the village express. you can also see that the fanny hill express is totally gone. you can also see just how much they shortened burlingame. alot more than I expected anyway. it also looks like the burlingame chair has an alpha terminal. probably off of the old fanny hill chair.

The lift is still running during the day - 11.5 minute ride as opposed to a 9.5 minute ride at full speed. All of the work is being done at night. Last night they dozed the snow off of the trail, brought in a pumper and 2 concrete trucks, poured the foundation, and dozed and groomed the snow back onto the trail. Lift opened at its normal time. Tower work will be done the same -"All under the cover of darkness!"

They say that they are going to replace the cabins on the silver queen next year but it remains to be seen if they actually do or not. Right now what I am wondering is what the new cabins would look like. I'm not sure if they will use ones like everyone else or if they will use ones hat are comprable to the ones that are currently on the lift.
BTW: Does anyone know if the new lift at snowmas has a full midstation or does it have a half one like at buttermilk? also is the sams nob restaraunt still therte or was it removed to make room for the new lift?
