Here are some images of the Timber Express Quad at Fernie Alpine Resort

Vertical Rise is 656m/2152 ft.

This chair would be on of the candidates for longest highspeed chair in North America.

Sweet pictures Helper. There sure arn't that many Leitner HSQs in North America.

P.S. It appears that you posted the same picture of the lower station twice. I presume that was supposed to be the top terminal like in your avatar?

Cool pics, though it isn't the longest high-speed quad in NA or the world. The Slide Brook Express holds that honor at 11,012 feet long, and it's one of the wildest lift rides ever!

Perhaps not the world but it is longer than the Gem Lake chair at Big white which makes it the longest HS lift in Canada from my knowledge.

Yes, my mistake. I uploaded the return station image twice. I tried editing it but it wouldn't let me. I probably was doing something wrong. Well, he is the drive station.

I don't know if its the longest, but shes a pretty long girl for a high speed quad. The return station looks pretty huge when you stand underneath. Looking down the lift line is quite the sight also.

Hi Helper,

The reason why you probably couldn't edit your post is because after a 5 minute period once the post was published, this feature is disabled.

Could Skilifts.org use these pictures on the site?

Ah, good old Timber Bowl my first high-speed lift experience. I went inside the drive station when I was there in February, and I've got one word for the drive station ROOMY!. The Leitner gearboxes are huge because there not planetary and every Leitner lift I have seen always has the gearbox case in red so I like to call them 'Big Red".

Oh man I can remeber many cold snowy days riding that thing into the fog. Hearing the avalance guns going off and the rumble of snow through the fog. Pretty awsome experiences.

The other Leitner HSQ in canada are:
Kimberley Northstar Express
Lake Louise
larch Chair
glacier express
If anyone else has anymore we should add them.

Cool Vid. You can also see the attendant hit the slow button on the outside remote, because buddy is a little late joining his friends at the load line. That return station seems like open style concept like the North Star Express in Kimberley. That style of station must suck in the winter with clearing snow and ice.

The only other Leitner HSQs are at Jay Peak, Angle Fire and Sol Vista.
