Actually, my first HSQ may have been the ill-fated Yan HSQ @ Whistler (I was under 1 year old back then)

Had to be early December 1986 on Nakiska's Silver Chair. The area opened a season before it would host the Olympics so a friend and I went to check it out.

Mine firt ride was the heather express at boyne highlands. this was the only hsq that I rode until 4 years ago when I rode the crystal clipper at crystal mountain (MI) and then after that we went to colorado.

BTW you guys were having an :offtopic: debate on what should be done with the quicksilver super six to make it have a higher capacity. my opinion, they should move the existing six pack to where ever the fixed grip is that they were talking about replacing because of the new hsq at breck. (I dont know which one it is because I have never skiied there) then put in a high speed eight where the current line is.

:offtopic:

The Quicksilver HSS at Breck is capable of moving 4000 pph the hill since it has double loading, but Breck doesn't run it that high. A lot of people have trouble loading 8 packs and if you are not use to them, it will just lead to more stops.

My first ride HSQ ride was Thredbo 1997 "Gunbarrel Express" Pretty fun, And in 2002 we saw a boy fall from the bottom of the chair as he was trying to load on the chair, he fell about 2 meters, the ops wacked the emergency stop, the funny thing was that the chairs were bouncing and a sign on the tower next to us said" Do not bounce or swing in chairs"

Christmas Ridge HSQ @ Sun Valley. Coundn't believe the speed that thing ran at. It was a Yan that was converted after the grip fiasco.
