1987 actually with the current Arrowbahn Express (now BC's lift #17)
Arrowhead was connected to Beaver Creek the same year Bachelor Gulch Express lift was built in 1995.

The old Centennial #6 (the lower portion) was moved to create the Rose Bowl lift #4 in 1986 when Centennial Express was installed and extended to reach Spruce Saddle (running length of both lifts 6&7) Lift #7 (the Upper lift "Half Hitch) was moved to Vail in 1992 to create Lift #17. From 1986 to 1992, it was rarely operated except sometimes on weekends. I used to ride it when it was operating to ski laps on Tombstone Gulch and some of the other steeper sections off upper Centennial but I knew it would be gone one day so I had better enjoy it.

Incidently, the former lift #17 at Vail ran nowhere near the current lift #17, it was a Yan double running paralell to the former Avanti #2, another Yan double which both operated from 1976 to 1989 when the current Avanti Express lift (Doppelmayr HSQ) was installed replacing both. Vail's lift#2 ended up at Beaver Creek to create their lift #2 (Highlands) in 1989. Unsure what happend to Vail's old #17, probably sold to another area.

Found this old thread and wanted to provide some thoughts. Like others on here have said, Arrowhead was not constructed by Vail Associates (as they were called then) but they did design it to be eventually incorporated into Beaver Creek if/when VA purchased Arrowhead. Pete Seibert, who helped lay out the trails at Arrowhead, states in his book that they knew the Bachelor Gulch expansion was already being planned when Arrowhead was built.

As far as the Lone Pine Canyon run, my best guess for why it was eliminated would be the homes built in Cresta Road. From Google Earth, it looks like they sit right on the bottom part of the terrain and the road blocks the catwalk back to the lift. Too bad, it looks like it might have been some fun terrain.
