Sort of. I don't think the game is going to be free like it was going to be. They found a way to market it but it's still going to be reasonable price range. I don't really know anything else, except they are now designing snow guns. So far I've seen 2 designs, so you will have to option of buying specific snow guns rather than just a standard snow gun like in other games.

Yea, that game is ok. A little bit to kiddish for my likes. There's also ski park manager 2003 which is pretty good but has a few glitches in it. If you want a copy Dr. Frankenstein, I might be able to hook you up. :)

Yes, I have Ski Park Manager 2003 too. But the lifts are all Center-pole and they doesn't turn the bull wheel.

I think Ski Resort Tycoon is more realist graphically, but Ski Park Manager have more functions and a better simulation.

SPM is much more fun, but is way to glitchy. Ski Resort Tycoon is ok, but the mountains are too small, and it is really easy. It would be nice if Mountian Tycoon is really really good, or some game company goes in and actually puts some time to make a good simulation

Well that's what the people on the Alpine Forum are doing. They know lifts so you will have name brands with real lifts and snow making systems like Lenko along with snow cat companies. :)

P.S. Dr Frankenstein, you have to beat other levels and stuff to get better lifts in SPM 2003. There's a gondola, HSQ, and Tram, Well the HSQ is either a FG Quad or a HSQ, it just depends on how fast you run it. :)

I know. If you do a certain modification in the files and folders, cou can get all the lifts and equipement.

You have to open one of the files in notepad and change what you can have on levels. You can do the samething with some buildings.

1. Start a Carrier mode and save just before you win. (Or edit the save file to win)
2. Choose a mountain in the list and save the new game.
3. Copy or transfer the save file from the carrier mode folder to the free mode folder.
4. Choose free build mode in the main menu, then select open
5. Continue building your resort!

Steps in blue are facultative. It depends which mountain you want.

Wow, free advertising. j/k I'm one of the admins on the site about ski resort tycoon(http://www.skiresorttycoon.co.uk). We have been pushing for a srt 3 or other skiing game from activision(the people who created it), but they haven't found anyone that wants to help make it. Catdaddy games was who did it before but they were bought out. We have many ideas and offered to activision to help them make it better and more realistic and fun.

Last I heard mountain tycoon was still going to be free but I haven't been over there in a while. They say maybe december 2004 it will be released. I have played ski park manager but there were some things I liked about it but there were also many bugs in it. Aren't the people who are making mountain tycoon some of the people who created Ski Park Manager?

ski resort tycoon was cool, but the mountains were way too small. If you guys actually do get the new on approved and whathave you, there should be more realistic lifts, different types and size mountains, so it isnt so small, and more buildings.
