Basically, the president of CTEC is now the president of Doppelmayr CTEC while the Doppelmayr's president is now vice president of the company, although Doppelmayr bought Garaventa!

Maybe the government will come in over in europe, and break up the doppelmayr monoply

Won't happen, they are European companies, not American. :)

Anyway, the skilift age is slowly dying kind of like coasters in a way, so merging is the only way these companies can survive.

True

Back in the day, with all the young resorts popping up, its was really nice, especially in the 50s-early 70s. RIght no its hard to expand, let alone start a resort, so they do merge. If they didnt, theyd be selling like 3 lifts a year each.
