That must be from the falcon or maybe the Colorado if they removed some of the chairs.

I believe that the lift manufacturers give resorts a free carrier when they buy a new lift these days, so that's where the carrier could have come from.

Is that one on display at the base of peak 9?

10-4. The reason I'm asking is because this is the original style of quad Poma built- not the ones on the Colorado or the Flyer. It was discontinued after the 1985 model year. Summit at Winter Park has them, as does High Lonesome.

It may be a carrier off the falcon then I'm not sure that it was an '86 install. I just thought that they were the same year.

Well I'm pretty sure Doppelmayr and Garaventa CTEC would give a resort a free carrier if they bought a lift from them. I'm talking about the carriers you see in the lodges and stuff where people sit down just to chill for a little bit. For example, Stevens Pass has a HSS carrier, Mt. Bachelor has a HSQ in the Pine Marten lodge, Willamette Pass has two HSS carriers along with an extra gondola cabin. I know for a fact that CWA and Gangloff also give a resort one free cabin if they choose to use their cabins on their lift and the free cabin is usually all tricked out and stuff.

Deer Valley's lift mechanics destroyed the crap out of the free cabin it got from Gangloff when the gondola was built. But maybe POMA didn't give a free carrier away like Dopp and Garaventa CTEC did.

Anyway, I guess we are starting to go off topic now.

I dont know if it was free from L-P but Breck has a carrier from a six pack at the peak 8 base in a similar configuration as a bench. I believe they got it when they installed the new Quicksilver.

The DV gondola cabin was sitting outside at the base in 1997

At Copper in Union Creek I saw a triple chair that looked like the ones on Kokomo. They had it set up as a swing.

One of the things I was kinda suprised about was at WP some of the HSQs dont have foot rests. I hadn't encountered one without footrests since the old Quicksilver. I'm guessing that they are a customer option?

Are there any high speed lifts that dont have any kind of comfort bar?

I guess the Collins Express at Alta doesn't. Some guy on the SJ forums mentioned that when he was there a few weeks ago.

The Safety Bar is required by law in Vermont and I think Colorado.

No, actually Jeff found something on the Colorado Tramway board wanted to require it but all the resorts shot it down or something like that. Thank goodness.

The Sugarloaf lift at Alta doesn't have a bar either

Every high speed lift I have ridden has a safety bar. However, I have encountered a few lifts without footrests. I am suprised that there are some HS lifts that don't have any retention bar. The only lifts I have found without retention bars are relativelly old fixed grips.
