I think Doppelmayr was, but Leitner could have. I don't really fallow leitner, but the UNI-G terminal has been out for about 5 years now.

Is this a Funitel

This lift is at Québec city, and is a FG. It have only 2 cabs, but it's short. It's very slow. Approx. 2.5 m/s. The cabs stops in the terminals, then it restarts backwards, and vice versa. The cabs are Gangloff and the lift a Doppelmayr, I read that it was built in 1993.

Here's some info on this Jiga Back. Doppelmayr says it's a gondola rather than a funitel, but the first funitel was invented this same year over in Europe.

How did it blew up ?
Now it's a yan triple

No, the lift was built by Doppelmayr in 1983 as their first HST triple in North America and their second HSL I believe. At night they take the chairs off the line and run the lift slowly so rime doesn't form on the haul rope and sheaves. Well one night, the motor blew for some reason damaging a lot of key parts to make the lift run. It was going to cost a lot to fix and was easier and cheaper to covert it to a HSQ.

So now it's not a YAN triple ?

The Summit Express Triple was built by Doppelmayr and was never a fg triple at anytime. :) So no it's not a Yan triple.

Maybe your thinking of the Sunrise Yan fixed grip triple that was also built at Mt. Bachelor in 1983? The Sunrise triple has also been converted to a HSQ.
