Well a week ago i came across a 95-96 Squaw Valley Olympic Heritage brochure. Pretty cool stuff. I also have the trail map for that season, but it isnt any different than the current except the few lift changes which dont matter, but this other one is cool.

Here are the front and back pages:

This is the inner 2 pages with some information. Note the big typo on the left side.

And of course the 1960 Trail Map with some cool stuff. Some notes: the Red Dog chair they speak of is actually now by the main base (next to the KT-22 Lift) and if anyone remembers the top station of the lift i posted is the old Papoose Lift. Enjoy.

Now here is a 97-98 Big White brochure. Check out that early computer work! This bad boy has one of the most annoying trail maps ever.

And finally, the big map of terror. Well not really, but its a big filesize, and i must say is one of the most annoying maps ever. But it is nice how it has lift lenght and vertical.

I'm going to plug Brad's site here (coloradoskihistory.com) and say that he's got a cool collection of old and relatively old CO trail maps. It was neat to see the one from Copper in 1973, when B-1 and I-lifts were brand new and there were only seven lifts total (six doubles and a fixed platter). He also has (among others) Vail in 1965 (ish) and Keystone from its inaugural season.

Having used the Current Big White map i preffer the 97-98 one. both have the lift stats. Though the layout is annoying the old one has a lot more detail such as cliffs! These are surprising features not on the new trail map which are a sudden surprise in a nice glade.
an example :

Yea, I suppose you are right about the detail, it would probably be better for one of the pocket maps that they have at the lifts, but the current map is a lot nicer for the large brochure you get at the ski stores. Maybe they would consider going back, or maybe just add some detail.

Today I had a bunch of free time at school so I decided to draw Dodge Ridge. Its pre-Boulder Creek Canyon, so it would be a 1997 or so map. It shows the runs better then the current map, but it's kinda messy.
