Yep, we had a topic about this a while back. SkiCo has them on several lifts at their four areas.

Well this is probably the weirdest device or snow toy that I have ever seen made out of Riblet carriers. Has anyone seen one of these before? I spoted these bad boys at Bogus Basin. I presume they are the remains of either the Deerpoint or Pine Creek Riblet lifts. :---:

Looks like ski racks. Probably a good way to save some money if that is what they are.

I bet those are table supports cause of the little wood blocks on the egdes of the contraption and mounted on the grips.

Some random Riblet photos from Breck's 7-chair.

Traction rope brake- a one-way jaw which clamps directly on the rope in the event of a rollback.

This terminal was originally a side-pull counterweight, but has been modified for hydraulic tension. Note the safety chains in the event of sudden pressure loss.

Yes, we had to move it to make way for the road you see behind it. The Lewis Ranch (which has so far sold ZERO of its houses) took precedence over the lift.

Here is something weird going on with the Chickadee lift at Snowbird, UT. It appears that Snowbird is building another cement deck and Chickadee's lower station will be underneith it when this new deck or structure is built. I can't understand why Snowbird would build something like this over a lift.

I don't think its for competitions, as it looks onto the bunny hill. Maybe its just a different covering so that it matches better with the beautiful plain gray concrete theme at Snowbird <_<

Kind of a cool shot, Pieces of the old Powderbowl lift are temporarily stored in the California lodge parking lot up at heavenly.

Here is what appears to be an eletricity grounder incase the lift gets hit by lightening. John Paul didn't have this, so I might be wrong on what this might be then. Can that small black wire handle a lightening bolt?
