I imagine there's some overriding reason this lift was intentionally built with a 45-degree bend, but I wonder if Breck and Poma collaborated on it just to say it could be done.

Lastly, looking down the lower section from the #2 bullwheel. You can see where the light side is raised way up to cross over the rest of the machinery.
I'd hate to have this lift if only because I hate greasing bullwheels, and there's three all told!

No. You can't have passengers going around full bullwheels at full speed. Otherwise things like bouncing chairs off towers happen. It would be a fun trip though :)

I wonder if they ran it in the summer slow they would let you do it? I bet someone done it like a lift guy or ski patrol.

No, public generally aren't permitted to ride bullwheels - I would say the mechanics would have ridden them, at a reduced speed.

Sundance, UT (Robert Redfords little ski area not too far from Provo, UT) lets you ride around the bullwheel on their up-and-over CTEC quad in the summer. They slow it down though

Yeah, some areas do. But that is just one bullwheel with an operator, not three - two without operators. The fact that Snowflake's aren't very tall pose a risk of people hopping on and off unattended as well.

One of the FOUR bullwheels is actually over 50' in the air. The mechanics have to ride the bullwheel in a workchair in the summer to do the line maint. The bend was put in for realestate reasons. The condo owners at the bottom of the lift helped pay for it by the way. I've never heard of public downloading on that lift.

Yes, there are four total bullwheels... but in my earlier post I was referring to the three one would have to grease. The drive bullwheel does not count in that.
