I don’t think we have this topic yet, so I’ll start.
Copper’s Chair 5 is finally going in. It’ll be a Poma fixed triple.

No. And to answer your previous question, it doesn’t have a name yet. I assume it’ll be called Tucker but right now it has its master plan designation of 5.

Six passenger detachable chairlift by Doppelmayr going in at Sommet Saint-Sauveur (formerly Mont Saint-Sauveur) in Quebec. It will replace the Atomic Express which was built in 1985 by Doppelmayr.

The lift will not have any bubble covers but the chairs will be heated. The line is about 3200 feet long approximately with a rise of 650 feet, so bubbles are not needed.

Als blog at a basin suggested the possibility of upgrading Lenawee to high speed soon, if this happens, it would make sense to relocate the current triple to replace Pallavicinni...

Why would they upgrade to a HST? There's literally two in all of North America, and one's scheduled to be replaced. Why not just put in a limited capacity quad instead?

Cold Spring isn't happening this summer, so it should be 2019.

a HST might be cheaper if they don't need the HSQ capacity but still want the high speed..

It’s more economical to use quad chairs at a longer interval than to use triple chairs.

how so

-Essentially the same tower loads, so no savings on number of towers or number of sheaves
-Line gauge of standard design terminals already set up for quad carriers
-Triple carrier would need to be developed as it isn’t standard design
-grip is same for either quad or triple (standard design)
-quad detachable uses 75% of the carriers needed for a triple detachable

The quad would be cheeper due to the standardized components and depending on the profile it may be able to change tower loadings too.

Originally, the folks at A-Basin were not wanting a high speed lift running Pali's line. They proposed a brand new double chair but without Norway and with the hint of them upgrading Lenawee which will likely become a huge need, it would make sense to use the line equipment and terminals from the current Lenawee to construct a new Pali. Towers would probably have to be new due to the unique profile of that chair due to the rugged and steep terrain it climbs. Moving to another Colorado area, nothing has been announced but it would sure be nice if Winter Park upgraded Sunnyside lift one of these years. The current triple is not cutting it anymore in its current line but would it would be great if they could relocate it to the Cirque area. Sort of a personal wish list but the Sunnyside upgrade has been talked about for quite awhile. Also- at Eldora, rumor of a Corona upgrade is circulating....
