Did it get bought?

"According to the post, three sale scenarios are being explored:
"1. We have a buyer negotiating to buy the resort and install a quad lift this season.
"2. We have a buyer negotiating to buy the resort; remain closed for the ski season and install a lift next summer.
"3. We have two potential buyers looking at operating status quo for the winter. Improvements would begin next summer. "
Haven't heard about any closure.

Saddleback announcement possible this week
http://www.wmtw.com/...s-week/35777870
I also heard they were refunding season pass sales, don't know how true that is. The person that told me started the conversation with "I heard from so and so who heard from so and so....."

It's great that they've kept the entire Saddleback community informed through the process (although it was quite the delay from the last announcement). So many companies would blindside their customers in a situation like this (i.e. Sugarloaf coming out the blue saying that they were removing Bucksaw).

Operations for this season are slim to none as they cancelled their NDT and their mechanics have found new jobs from what I hear of our northern neighbor. Sad. Terrific skiing. Really hoping a ski conglomerate doesn't absorb them.
In light of the fact that as of mid Dec 2015, they have a buyer that they expect to close a deal with, and the new buyer expects to open the hill in late January 2016, one assumes that a whole lot of inspections have to be done between now and end of January. Stuff that normally would be done in warmer months. brrrr..

Hopefully Saddleback does not become another lost ski area. http://www.newenglan...php?storyid=469
Although if there was a winter not to open, last year might have been it
