Not entirely true, Chair 20 (Cascade) is and will remain a fixed grip. It is owned by the Cascade Resort HOA and operated by Vail. Vail won't replace the lift and the HOA would scoff at the idea of having to split a $6-7M bill for a high speed lift. It serves its purpose well, an access lift for a real estate development. It is also backed up by multiple bus lines and the resorts own private shuttles.

Interesting... So apparently Thunderhead will stay as is. There was earlier talk of Elkhead being the relocated Thunderhead HSQ and Thunderhead being upgraded to HSS. Any guesses on the manufacturer? Mine would be L-P.

Elkhead is supposed to become a 6-pack. The article didn't specifically say that it would be a quad.

I'd rather see a new alignment to the summit of the gondola for Elkhead but real estate there is already tight.
