The neighborhood next to mine has a little pond. There's a permanent "Do Not Walk on Thin Ice" sign there that just looks out of place in the summer....

I was up at Hampton Beach NH the other day and I saw a sign that read this:
"Smokers - Please be aware that our beach is not your public ashtray. Please Keep Your Butts In Your Pants!"

I would disagree! It is obviously in a clearing hence rumor still unsupported.

Unintentionally funny one, but the "Which Way Are You Going? Make a plan" signs that were added to Breck's high speed six packs last year when the Colorado SuperChair was built. While clearly they're meant to tell riders to coordinate who goes where so there aren't misunloads, the positioning of them is somewhat weird, like this one from the Colorado SuperChair:

Someone I was on the lift with the other day said the positioning of this sign is somewhat ludicrous because taken at face value, you only have about three seconds to make up a plan between when you see that sign and when you hit the unload ramp (yes, there's another one just like it attached to tower 19, but still...).

I think it's ludicrous that they didn't have a plan until they saw the sign...and then thought they didn't have enough time to come up with a plan.
Maybe a 'heads up display' on their goggles when they load?

Yeah, well, on the Kensho SuperChair, the "Make a plan" sign is on the second to last tower, tower 21, and on the Independence SuperChair and Quicksilver Super6, it's on the last tower before the upper terminal (tower 23 on the former, tower 17 on the latter).
