Are there still any single chairs running in North America? Last one I was that was actually in use was in Innsbruck Austria.

The single at Mad River Glen is still going strong. Rebuilt by Dopp a few years ago, it's an east-coast skiing icon in and of itself.

Mt Eyak in Cordova has a single chair from Sun Valley. It's an awesome little ski area.

A new lift I outright love is the Adirondack Express II at Gore Mountain, NY. They installed it to replace a Von Roll high speed triple installed in 1984. The old lift was a classic being the oldest high speed lift in the east, so some history replaced, but well worth it for the new lift. The new lift is absolutely everything I love in a lift, new, fast, and comfortable. It is designed for 1,100 fpm and was doing every bit of that speed when I rode it. The chairs are padded like sofas which is great. It serves lots of great runs as well, so you ride up fast and in style to get to them.
