I believe Purgatory's master plan was along the lines of upgrading Legends to a high speed quad, and upgrading Twilight to a triple chairlift. Does that sound correct?

From Facebook it looks like Doppelmayr may possibly have a new more economical terminal design coming out(speculative), they also may be hungry for the biz(more probable), Europe isn't having the best ski season so far.

Interesting. I too was surprised to see the gondi project at Lutsen go Dopp. L-P has done the HSS at Lutsen and two HSQs and HSS at Granite Peak. I wonder how much lower Dopp bid for the Lutsen project?

Drumheller Valley (Alberta)'s 1993 Riblet quad has been sold to Big Bam Ski Hill in Taylor, BC to be installed in 2015.

Was at Vail today, here's the sign for the new six pack to replace the current Avanti Express.

Update on Valley House FGQ at Sugarbush from owner Win Smith (Sugarbush.com):

"Our main New Year's resolution is to keep making Sugarbush bettter for you and in 2015 the major item on our list will be a new Fixed grip quad to replace the Valley House double. If we're able to get it permitted, we want to have the loading area brought further down the hill for the convenience of everyone."

The original plan that they received approval for last March were to just replace the double in it's current location. From this, obviously, it sounds like they wait to extend the base lower to (I'm guessing) closer to the base of Super Bravo HSQ which would make sense, the current base is in a terrible location.

Interesting... Never seen a "six-grip quad" before, hopefully all the chairs will have grips on them. :-O

Quad chairs with six grips would be very interesting, though.

I think the Motherlode HSQ will go a long way toward solving the Silverlode problem. If half of the beginners who currently ski Parleys turn left to Sunnyside and Carbide Cut instead and ride the new lift, that takes a lot of the pressure off Silverlode. It would be great to add snowmaking to Gotcha Cutoff too

The article doesn't mention if the Tucker Mountain lift is going to be a double chairlift or a triple chairlift or something else entirely.

The PDF also makes mentions of Breckenridge proposing expanded snowmaking by adding an extra pipeline running from the bottom of the Independence SuperChair up to just above the bottom of the Kensho SuperChair. The resort also apparently proposes widening and re-grading part of Monte Cristo to improve skier traffic flows. I want to assume that the section of Monte Cristo in question is that last hill just below Wirepatch where they have the Slow signs and the guys in yellow jackets stationed doing speed control (that hill starts off in pretty good shape but tends to get icy as the day progresses; it also gets a lot of traffic seeing as it takes skier traffic from the Peak 7 trails north of the Independence SuperChair as well as all skier traffic returning to Peak 8 from the Kensho SuperChair).

I believe Tucker is going to be a triple. Copper is not super brand loyal so any of them has a shot but I'd guess it will be a Doppelmayr .

Copper is definitely not a brand-loyal area. After all, they had Poma build the Center Village high speed quads in the 1980s, but the next high speed quad, the Timberline Express from 1994, was a Doppelmayr. Then they returned to Poma for Excelerator and Super Bee, then back to Doppelmayr for Union Creek, and I think back again to Leitner-Poma for Storm King.
