We just got this dropped on us yesterday- we may be building a Partek this summer. Take this with a VERY large dose of skepticism, because nothing is confirmed yet, but we've got bids out to rebuild or replace C-1 lift (the one we bought from A-Basin). The lift would be lengthened to about twice its current length, along with added snowmaking and a warming hut. This is primarily to increase our early/late season beginner terrain, as we currently have about nothing for those times. As I said, skeptical at best, but we might actually be doing something out of the ordinary this summer...

I'm not certain what may be going in- it may be that we find a couple dozen Heron carriers and either find a Heron drive terminal or build our own (my personal favourite idea). We don't want to use the existing one because it's downright scary to work in. I don't know if you can see from this shot, but there's lots of places to fall through into the bullwheel spokes. Yan, while doing the relocate/modification, convinced Copper it would be better if he built an all-new drive instead of using the original Heron structure, and this is what we got.
It may be that Partek comes in cheaper than Poma or DoppelmayrCTEC- we'll have to see. My bosses are leaning towards an all-new lift rather than trying to extend our existing one. No matter what happens, it could be an interesting late summer up here.

Alright, lets keep an eye on Partek's installation sheet for the lifts planned to be installed this summer. It's interesting that Intrawest would buy a Partek lift, but I guess Itrawest has when it took over Mountain Creek, NJ.
Well It doesnt surpise me that Mountain creek bought a partek, since geo-graphically, the company is less then 30 minutes away from the mountain.

Gentlemen,
The new chairs at Sunshine Village are indeed Partek chairs with custom hangers to fit the Mueller grips. Partek also supplied new chairs on Mueller lifts for two other resorts in the Canadian Rockies that year. FYI, Bernie Moser of Mueller Lifts, Inc. is the sales agent for Partek in western Canada.

Well all I can say is that I hope Partek has success in the HS market which i still think is overcrowded and that there should be a manufacture that specailizes in FG lifts. Any way I hope the Partek HS's are as good looking as the FG.
