If Okemo does the Northstar Express replacement, I am guessing it will be an LP. They are mostly a Poma mountain except for the Green Ridge Triple which is a Doppelmayr. The two South Face Village lifts I am guessing will not be Doppelmayr, so they will either stick with Poma/LP or go with Skytrac if they give a better deal than Poma.

Okemo went with LP, a bubble sixer

Will the existing Northstar be reused?

I heard that it was being relocated. It is a 1992 Poma HSQ. They could either replace one of the longest fixed grips at Okemo, or relocate it to Sunapee since that is where they have sent some of their used lifts in the past. Sunapee is run by Okemo.

Looks like Ragged is getting a new HSQ for 2014! Spear Mountain triple will be replaced: https://www.facebook...745763795466998
Chairlift n. A transportation system found at most ski areas in which a series of chairs suspended from a cable rapidly conveys anywhere from one to eight skiers from the front of one line to the back of another.

Ragged's new HSQ will be a Dopp.

Here is a Google Maps version of the new lifts list so far. Blue is Doppelmayr, Orange is L-P, Red is SkyTrac, Green is Partek and Grey is the used lifts.

Nice job, didn't realize it was such a slow year for Canada.

Very nice, though I see one error. Ragged's HSQ is a Dopp, not L-P.

I heard tell Stowe is replacing both the Easy Street and Alpine double chairs. They are both listed for sale on resortboneyard. Not sure if the new lift will be FG or a detach, but I think it is supposed to be a quad.

I am guessing they will put a fixed grip quad in Alpine's spot and nothing in Easy Street's spot. Alpine was the longer of the two lifts. No need for a detach because the Alpine lift is only 1,800 feet long.

If it is a learning area lift, wonder if they will put a carpet load and still run it slow to make it easy for beginners?

It's official, High Alpine replacement will not be this year.

Billy,
We have been discussing replacing this lift, however it will still be there for the 1415 season.

If you have any questions please let me know!

Good guess. I sort of forgot about that one being removed. I think they actually took a run and built houses on it.

I will try to ask if that is where it came from on HV's Facebook page, maybe they will respond.

This one did not come from Terry Peak after all. It is from Alpine Valley, Wisconsin.

Cherry Peak's second/upper mountain lift is going to be Sunnyside from Sun Valley, a 1978 Yan triple that is currently being removed along with Flying Squirrel.

Drove by Okemo today. Looked to me like the Northstar had lost its chairs and is de-tensioned. Saw this from the main road through town though, didn't have time to drive up to the lift, but it certainly look de-tensioned.

Glad to see Sunnyside getting a new life.

Posted on NewEnglandSkiHistory but Okemo won't confirm it yet, it looks like they're going forward with a Leitner-Poma 6 pack bubble chair as noted up thread. Act 250 permit suggests it will be a $6.9 million lift.
The Northstar was presented to the State of NH this spring (operating plan) as a possible replacement for the Sun Bowl Quad at Sunapee.

Per NewEnglandSkiHistory.com, it will be a fixed grip quad. Manufacturer not yet announced (permit hearing in two weeks).

According to their Facebook page, Cherry Peak is going to build a 3rd triple this summer in addition to the 2 we already knew about.

Also here is the site plan for the new Alpine fixed quad with loading carpet at Stowe:

I saw a post from Ski Utah but it didn't have any further information. Wasn't there another lift on the backside, starting at the same bottom location going to the far ridge on the plan? If so, probably that lift.
